I am a self-taught artist with a lifelong fascination with art, particularly the human form and portraiture. I also enjoy plein air and still life work in all mediums. I belong to several figure and portrait drawing groups within the Jacksonville area. I studied with several local artist as well as national known artists, such as Kevin Beilfuss, Romel de la Torre, Kerry Dunn, Carolyn Anderson and Robert Liberace.
I participated in the One Spark festival for several years as a creator drawing portraits on the street. I’m currently a member artist at the Southlight Gallery in downtown Jacksonville. I have shown in Gallery 1037 at Reddi Arts on Hendricks Ave, Kings Street Studios in the Cork Arts District and The Haskell Gallery at the Jacksonville International Airport.
I taught beginning figure drawing at the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center in Ponte Vedra and will teach pastel portraiture at UNF this summer. I work primarily in charcoal, graphite, pastel, watercolor and oil. I recently added etching to my list of mediums and was invited to participate in the Face Forward self portrait show thorough the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
