— Artists taking their art outside and beyond the studio
ALJ Creative Group:
If you doodle in the middle of the night, wear two kinds of clothes —clothes with paint on them and clothes that are going to get paint on them, and speak the language of art, you are one of us.
Be part of ALJ ‘s meet-up group, the Outsiders. Cityscapes, landscapes, cafes and more — paint or sketch people, or places, at a variety of natural or urban venues.
Casual meet-ups will be held about twice a month, maybe more, for two-to-three hours of sketching, or painting, and great camaraderie among other artists of varying levels of artistic expertise.
Please Check the Calendar or our Facebook page for the latest info on this groups location and schedule.
ALJ Group Guidelines:
It is very important to ALJ to put on our best possible face when we engage the community for this reason we have generated and adopted a set of guidelines we would like our creative friends to observe when they participate in ALJ sponsored group activities. We appreciate your participation in our programs and groups and hope that should any issues arise you contact us to allow us the opportunity to discuss. Each group can discuss these guidelines and adjust them to suit the intention and betterment of the group.
ALJ Group Guidelines:
• Please be courteous to other group members and members of our community.
> Don’t speak in loud tones while the group is working – wait for breaks for prolonged
conversation whether you are on your cell phone or talking to others around you.
> Please silence cell phones during sessions and only take calls if priority dictates When you do take calls please be courteous and leave the immediate work area
so as not to disturb others work.
> Do not take photos of people/models unless approved by the person ahead of time. Respect the rights and space of those around us.
• Please be cautious at any ALJ event site
– We above all want to make sure we have a safety first mentality when we work.
• No offensive language or attitudes will be tolerated by anyone during an ALJ activity.
• The use of alcohol during an ALJ function is not condoned or supported by ALJ
and is the responsibility of each individual. We are sure that everyone already understands and adheres to the guidelines on a day to day basis we just ask that you are especially conscience of this when you participate in ALJ activities.
We are ambassadors of good will in our community and we take that seriously.
