The structure of a graphic novel or story revolves around the nature of the world it is in, whether it be a world of magic and treasure, aliens and lasers, or iphones and anarchy. This camp focuses on world building, the process of constructing a fictional world or universe. In this camp, we will be learning about architecture and scenery, developing culture and fashion, and designing new species. All of this is to make a consistent, well rounded world that character stories can sprout from. At the end of the 5 day camp, students will have a folder with maps, illustrations of towns and cities, one or more character skeletons, and a basic written description of important world aspects.
This camp is intended for ages 12+. Capacity 10 students.
It is advisable for campers to have a loose original story in mind when joining.
