I am a self-taught artist with a lifelong fascination of art, particularly the human form and portraiture. My Grandmother was an artist and loved sharing her knowledge with me at a very early age, for which I am eternally grateful. I have studied with several local artists that include Paul Ladiner, Ken Koster, Pablo Rivera, Sara Pedigo, Tony Wood, Liz Bryant and Randy Pitts, as well as nationally known artists, such as Kevin Beilfuss, Romelde la Torre, Kerry Dunn, Carolyn Anderson, Dan Thompson and Robert Liberace. I participated for several years in the One Spark festival in Downtown Jacksonville Florida as a creator drawing portraits on the street for festival goers raising funds for the local food bank. I am a member artist at the SouthlightGallery downtown and have shown at Gallery 1037. I was asked by the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville to participate in a group show of local artists call ‘Face Forward’. All the artists were asked to submit self-portraits which were shown at the Cork Art District Gallery and the JIA Haskell Gallery. I am also a member/instructor with the Art League of Jacksonville and an art instructor at the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center. I will beginning teaching at UNF Continuing Education this summer. I am a member of several local drawing groups and organizations in Jacksonville as well as southern Indiana and Kentucky. I work in charcoal, graphite, pastel, watercolor, oiland most recently printmaking.
